baculovirus expression vector
Abbreviation: BEV
A method for the in vitro production of complex recombinant eukaryotic proteins. A genetically engineered baculovirus (a virus that infects certain types of insects) is introduced into appropriate cultured insect cells, which then express the recombinant protein.
